How to avoid cracking?Updated a year ago

A: Here are some things you can try with the next application:

  • Avoid exposure to water for at least one hour before doing your nails. Absorbed water can cause the nail plate to expand and change shape. When the nail dries and goes back to its normal shape, this can put stress on the dip powder leading to cracking or chipping.
  • Make sure you are using enough Activator. All the powder and base layers should be fully saturated with the activator.
  • Try a different application method called an “Apex method”: Use very thin and even base coat layers. Apply the first dip layer in a strip in the middle of the nail, leaving the margin at the sides. Continue with the application father back and closer to the sidewalls. Only the last color coat should cover the entire nail. This will help you build a natural shape with a strong structure. Use 1-2 layers of Build Powder and 2-3 layers of color powder if your nails need extra strength.
